Get in touch

Dance is about expression, movement, and emotion, and Amy's dance portfolio sessions are designed to capture all three. Whether you're a ballet dancer perfecting your arabesque, a contemporary performer, or a young dancer just starting out, these sessions will showcase your talent and passion through striking, professional images.

Amy understands how to photograph movement. She works closely with each dancer to capture the lines, the energy, and the emotion that make your style unique. Sessions can take place in the studio or at an outdoor location, depending on the look and feel you're after. Amy will guide you through poses and sequences, but she also loves capturing those spontaneous, in-the-moment shots that bring a dance photograph to life.

A strong portfolio can open doors, and these images are designed to do just that. Whether you need photographs for auditions, dance school applications, social media, or simply to celebrate your passion, you'll come away with a collection of images that you're genuinely proud of.

What our clients say

Amy was so patient with my two. They were running around like mad things and she just went with it. The photos are gorgeous, really natural, and you can see them actually laughing rather than doing a forced smile. We'll definitely be back.

Family Session Client

We were a bit nervous about having our photo taken all day, but Amy made us completely forget the camera was there. She captured moments we didn't even realise were happening. My dad wiping his eyes during the speeches, James's face when he first saw me. We absolutely love every single photo.

Frequently asked questions

What should we wear for our session?
We always suggest wearing something you feel comfortable and confident in -- that's when you look your best. Co-ordinating colours (rather than matching outfits) works really well, and soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully. Avoid large logos or very busy patterns, and feel free to bring a change of outfit if you'd like some variety.
How long does a session last?
Most portrait sessions last around 45 minutes to an hour, which gives us plenty of time to capture a lovely range of images without anyone getting tired. Newborn sessions can take a little longer as we work at baby's pace, usually around two hours. We never rush things; it's all about keeping the session relaxed and fun.
Can we bring props or personal items?
Absolutely! We love it when families bring along something meaningful, like a favourite toy, a special blanket, or even the family dog. Personal touches make your photos genuinely yours and help little ones feel more at home. Just let us know what you're thinking and we can plan around it.
What if my child won't sit still or cooperate?
Don't worry if the kids won't sit still. Honestly, some of the best shots happen when they're just being themselves! We're very used to working with little ones, and we keep sessions relaxed and fun so there's no pressure. We have plenty of tricks up our sleeve, and those natural, giggly moments often turn out to be everyone's favourite photos.
